* SOMETHING ABOUT ME:


I´m Mikel and this school year I am teaching 3rd course of CSE and 1^st course of Secondary Education students in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Last year I started using digital resources in my English classes and I think it is highly motivating to use them in the classroom as well as time saving at the time of correcting homework. From time to time I also use the digital board but not as often as I´d like to. In order to carry out some oral presentations on different topics chosen by the students the usage of interesting websites is highly stimulating. I also know that by the end of this school-year I will have had the chance of experimenting new ways of  teaching English and sharing all interesting good-quality learning resources, above all, those which turn out to be successful and popular among our students.

My interest

I´ve had a great passion for music since I was a child. I still remember the time when my parents gave me the first musical instrument. It is a pity that I gave it up before entering university. I´m sure I would have become a good artist in the music world.
At present Avicii is one of my favourite ones, so that is why I have chosen him in this presentation.

Me as a teacher

This is the first time I´ve created a blog.

Our job needs continuous updating. We should not keep teaching as if we were in the 20th century when the teacher´s role was the protagonist. Therefore, setting from this premise I would say that I am getting ready to embrace the new technology resources and all the good sides they offer us both to teachers and students. However, it is also true that sometimes I do not feel confident enough to cope with clasroom management. It is really hard work to deal with teenagers every day, above all, when they misbehave. Apart from that, the groups are too crowded and having a good relationship with teenagers takes time and great patience.
